kunanyi / Mount Wellington
The view from kunanyi / Mount Wellington down to Hobart is something — barren rock in the foreground giving way to a stark treeline and then the city beyond. What I keep coming back to in the photo is the contrast: cool light on man-made concrete against the deeper, natural browns, greens and blues, with a cloud floating just past the base.
And sitting on the summit: a tower. The NTA Tower, specifically, which broadcasts FM radio and ABC and SBS digital television across Hobart. Not quite wilderness — but I like it anyway.
