Coles Bay
Coles Bay sits on Tasmania’s east coast, roughly halfway between Launceston and Hobart and right up against Freycinet National Park — home to the impossibly photogenic Wineglass Bay. It’s one of my favourite places.
There’s an oyster farm in the bay itself, and the coast around it is dotted with farms, wineries, breweries and distilleries feeding the local restaurants. Cold mornings, long light, and somewhere near 300 days of sunshine a year.
